In today’s world, where new jurisdictions, regulations, and cryptocurrency projects appear every day, the legal profession is rapidly transforming. It is no longer limited to knowledge of laws and the ability to quote codes.
A lawyer of the 21st century is a hybrid of a strategic thinker, a technological navigator, and a crisis communicator.
At Manimama Law Firm, we are deeply convinced that a good lawyer is not just a specialist with a diploma. He is an analyst, a strategist, a person who knows how to work flexibly, quickly and deeply even in the most difficult conditions. These are the people we are looking for.
Our approach to recruitment goes beyond the classic notions of “vacancies” and “references”. This is not a recruitment process – it is a selection of those who are ready to change the rules of the game, work with the future and create a new legal reality.
What we look for in lawyers (and what we don’t look for)
We don’t chase “perfect” CVs, prestigious diplomas or fancy certificates. An academic background is definitely a plus. But in our system of coordinates, something else is more important: how the candidate thinks, how he listens, how he asks questions, how he formulates and defends his positions.
Our team is used to valuing not just experience, but a way of thinking. Often, a junior thinks like a future partner, and a senior thinks like a stagnant template.
Today, lawyers work in an environment where laws change very quickly.
That is why our ideal lawyer:
- is not afraid of an unfamiliar jurisdiction because he or she has the skill of quick analytical adaptation;
- does not copy articles of the law but understands their logic, context and intent of the legislator;
- does not hide behind formalities but can explain the complex simply and clearly;
- easily holds a conversation in English or honestly admits a gap and makes up for it in a matter of weeks.
We are looking for lawyers who can think outside the box, are not afraid to take responsibility, and know how to act in the face of legal uncertainty. In our practice, this is the daily norm, not the exception.
That is why we pay attention to certain markers the most.
- Thinking.
Clarity, logic, ability to defend a position without aggression.
- Reaction to challenges
Openness to new things, willingness to look for solutions, not excuses.
- Communication
How does one speak about previous experience? With responsibility or with accusations?
- Attitude to the unknown
Fear or intellectual curiosity?
We have lawyers who started out as interns and four months later are leading an international client on their own. We see talent not in formal qualifications, but in the pace of development, flexibility and courage.
Intuition and system
We combine two approaches: a structural system and professional intuition. For example, we have clearly defined stages:
- resume review;
- first interview – meeting with a recruiter;
- test task to analyze theoretical and analytical knowledge;
- interview with senior lawyers;
- feedback and feedback.
But at the same time, we always leave room for a deeper understanding.
- Is this person “ours”?
- Can he or she think alongside us?
- Will we trust them with a client in a critical situation?
We have had cases where an “imperfect” CV led to a star lawyer. And vice versa, a diploma from a top university did not save you from failure in the second minute of the interview.
Talent grows in an environment of trust
We create not only a team, but also a space for growth. Here, it is allowed to ask, not know, doubt, try, search, but not allowed to stop. Each new team member undergoes onboarding and is assigned a mentor who answers any questions and helps with the familiarization of new materials. We don’t promise it will be easy. But we do guarantee that it will be interesting, dynamic and with a sense of real value.
If you are looking for the next generation of lawyers, we will find them for you. We don’t just look for lawyers, we know how to find those who think strategically, work quickly, learn deeply and remain flexible in the most challenging situations.
Our expertise in legal recruitment is based not only on processes, but on experience, both legal and managerial. We grow teams in complex jurisdictions ourselves and know which lawyers work in real business, not on paper.
If you need specialists who think like future partners, who do not just close tasks but create strategic value, we will help you find them.
