A day in the life of a Manimama lawyer

At Manimama, a lawyer’s day is a mix of analysis, client calls, and teamwork. Since we work with clients across multiple time zones, our schedule rarely follows the standard “nine-to-six” format.

The day usually starts with coffee and a quick check of messages: any urgent client requests overnight, document updates, or contract edits. Then comes planning. Each lawyer marks their active tasks, deadlines, and progress in our shared workspace. This keeps everyone aligned and prevents overlapping work.

Morning calls and consultations

The first half of the day often goes to client meetings. Some clients are launching crypto projects and preparing for licensing. Others are structuring investments or setting up companies in Europe. The lawyer’s role is to make complex things sound simple — and find the balance between regulation and business reality.

Every consultation ends with a short summary: clear takeaways and next steps, so the client knows exactly what happens next.

Deep legal work

After meetings, it’s time for focused research. We operate in several jurisdictions, which means constantly tracking regulatory updates. New directives, case law, tax nuances — everything evolves fast.

Each lawyer has a specialization, but we regularly share insights in internal chats. For deep-dive tasks, we use “focus hours”: no notifications, no emails — just full concentration on one issue. It helps us maintain both quality and speed.

Remote work without chaos

Manimama operates fully remotely, but teamwork remains at the core. Everyone sets their own schedule — some prefer mornings, others afternoons. What matters is not hours, but results.

We use Bitrix and shared Google Docs for coordination, and small group chats for informal communication. Those chats are where we share movie picks, travel stories, or new cafés in our cities.

How we avoid routine

Legal work can easily become repetitive, but we’ve built a system to keep it fresh. Every lawyer contributes to internal projects — updating document templates, helping design new client services, or researching upcoming regulations.

We also hold weekly 15-minute team calls — short, friendly check-ins to share wins, updates, or simply connect by voice. They make a huge difference when your teammates are spread across countries.

Team “mini traditions”

Our internal chat “Legal Cubs” is where ideas and jokes are born. Someone drops an interesting case, another posts a meme about new EU rules. We also keep a smaller “Pro Tips” group for sharing articles, tools, and books worth reading.

Once a month we run a “legal brainstorm”: each lawyer prepares a short talk on a new topic — for example, how tokenization is regulated in different regions or trends in fintech licensing. It’s our way to grow continuously and keep curiosity alive.

Balance and trust

We believe a great lawyer is not just an expert, but someone who maintains balance. Manimama promotes a culture of respect and autonomy — no micromanagement, but plenty of trust. Everyone knows they can count on a colleague’s help when needed.

At the end of the day, our routine combines serious legal work with an easy-going team spirit. Precision and freedom coexist here. That’s probably why Manimama remains a place where lawyers don’t burn out — they evolve, professionally and personally.
